We find out justs whats in the UE32D6530 and the UE32D5520...

Now that the new D series is coming into stock rapidly now we thought that we would take in depths look at the new UE32D5520 and the new UE32D6530. The specifications of these screens have had much debate over the last week as we see a lot of stores start to take delivery of them. 

So in essence the D5520 is the model to replace the old C5800 LED television with Freeview HD. This comes in the following models UE32D5520, UE37D5520, UE40D5520 and UE46D5520. As you would expect this new screen includes a Freeview HD tuner, Ultra slim bezel and Full HD quality. The UE32D5520 is also slightly smaller in size of bezel as standard with all new screens. 

The benefits with the D5520 are it includes all these added extras:

·         100Htz Refresh rate- giving you less motion judder and a snappier clearer image

·         The D5520 includes Samsung’s new “Smart Hub” platform which gives you extensive access to all of the Samsung stores Apps including  BBC I Player, Love Film, Facebook and Twitter all from the comfort of your sofa.

·         Also this will include the movie search. You can connect your laptop wirelessly to the television and the Smart movie search will look through your laptop and all internet movie databases including IMDB and Love film to find where the best choice of your selected title is located.

·         Shortly the Samsung are working alongside channel 4 to develop an App for the 4OD catch up service and its expected launch date will be in June of 2011.

·         The Screen is also WIFI ready which is accessible through a dongle.

So all round a marked Improvement on the C5800 series LED televisions,

Now let’s take a look at the D6530:

This screen directly replaces the C6530 and comes in models UE32D6530, UE37D6530, UE46D6530, UE40D6530 and UE55D6530.

There is one key difference over the D5520 and that is the D6530 has 3D in built. This uses the same Bluetooth technology in its glasses as is the same with all new Samsung 3D screens. The main benefit given by having Bluetooth instead of IR is the reduction in any cross talk (blurring of the image).  You also have sleeker design of screen.

Benefits form the C6530 to the D6530:

·         Smart Hub included like explained above.

·         Includes a 400htz refresh rate and ultra-clear motion plus reducing cross talk and image judder.

·         WIFI is built into the D6530 making it a ready to go screen straight out of the box no need to purchase the additional dongle.

·         SKYPE active. You can even now purchase the additional camera so you are able to get face to face chatting with people anywhere in the world!

·         2D-3D conversion taking any picture and giving it the works to give a 3D back image. Never going to be to the scale of watching full 3D content but it’s a good feature to have.

So in summery of these two screens you could say there are mark able differences to them however each to their own and ultimately it’s what you as a buyer are looking for when you want to buy a television. These are both high quality screens from one of the best manufactures in the UK so you will not go wrong with either.
